The architect and her clients chose 7” plain sawn white oak with a white oil finish to create a airy, modern but subtle inspiration. 8” natural finished quarter sawn oak in ship-lap pattern covers an entire wall of the expanse providing a natural elemental warmth to the sophisticated design scheme. The client loves walking on the new floor in bare feet! The absolute flatness of the floor will remain through the change of seasons, thanks to the stability of Virtu’s 3-layer True Balanced Construction.
